Sharon Kelly West is a well known international speaker, author and historian. She has worked extensively in health care as a registered nurse.

She is an adjunct faculty member of the Duke End of Life Institute *APPEAL Program, Durham, NC. *(APPEAL is A Progressive Palliative Care Education Curriculum for the Care of African Americans at Life's End.)

Mrs. West was appointed by the House of Representatives as a member of the N.C. Minority Health Advisory Council, she is also a Jim Bernstein Fellow.



Sharon is passionate about answering the call to "Teach Until All Know". Audiences delight in her warm, honest and heartfelt sharing of her knowledge and expertise in providing culturally appropriate patient care and culturally appropriate end of life care.
